Welcome to 2012

Hey Everyone, Welcome to 2012! Hope everybody had an awesome christmas break! We are really looking forward to discovering what God has got planned for us in the new year! We are also really excited about introducing the new committee! and can’t wait to get working on some more events and socials for you to bring your friends along to.

The first CU Meeting of the year is this coming Wednesday the 11th Jan, we are meeting at The Hub from 7:30pm till around 10:00pm.

There are already signs of some really exciting things happening in 2012, ‘Shift.’ is a movement started by students seeking to bring about a culture shift in Jesus’ name.

It’s events week and the Christian Union are putting on an event to remember! There is going to be a quiz, live jazz music, a talk from the one and only Rebecca Manley Pippert and a delicious chinese meal! We want to encourage you to bring your friends along to this great event and that’s why we are offering tickets for the very low price of £6! House Party 2011

What’s going on?

CUs from Bournemouth, Bournemouth Arts, Solent, Winchester Uni, Winchester School of Art, Farnham, Reading, Surrey, Kent, Christchurch, UCA, Brighton, Chichester and Eastbourne are gathering together…

Equipping CUs for Mission – Living for Jesus and speaking for Jesus – Christian Unions exist to give every student in Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the love of Jesus.

Worship with loads of other CUs across the region and be trained and equipped to love your campus.

Who’s speaking?

Rebecca Manley Pippert, Founder, Salt Shaker Ministries – an internationally known speaker. Her bestselling book Out of the Salt Shaker has sold more than a half a million copies worldwide.

Lindsay Brown – for 25 years has worked with Christian Unions on every continent, he now trains university evangelists in Europe for several weeks a year as well as International Director for The Lausanne Movement.

Where is it?

Winchester YMCA and local churches in Winchester. We will be organising mini busses or coaches for travel. if you want more information contact us HERE

Regular Meetings

Hey everyone, if you came to our freshers events firstly, Thank you for coming! we hope that you enjoyed the time to reflect, meet with God and connect with other christian students and churches. We really feel encouraged that God brought loads of people through the doors and that we have been joining in with what he is already doing on campus.

Secondly, we want to make sure that you know what happens on a more regular basis at the CU. If you weren’t given a business card with our weekly and termly dates on, you can find the information on the images below. Also we still have plenty of cards so make sure you grab one from any of the weekly events.
